JBS Couros launched EVO technology collection, an ultra-resistant material of Kind Leather brand that allows leather to last longer, maintaining its quality and shine over time. EVO allows it to resist stains caused by various types of products or food, which, over time, deteriorate the material, causing cracks, reduced shine and durability.
EVO works with the high performance concept: it is a product line developed to be more resistant to the everyday stresses of upholstery when compared to other products on offer. The aim is to increase the leather’s resistance to daily use by a family, for example, or in places with a lot of foot traffic, such as hotels, restaurants and hospitals.
“We have developed a unique solution on the market, based on a highly complex international technical standard, with tests carried out on hair products, ketchup, wine and even urine. We are confident that EVO will be a very successful and accepted differential in the industry,” says Guilherme Motta, JBS Couros CEO.
The international standard to which he refers is AATCC130:1995. EVO technology has achieved a high level of performance, according to the technical parameters. “There is no product on the leather upholstery market with EVO’s level of performance,” adds Motta.
EVO can be applied to couches, chairs, armchairs and all types of upholstery in the three categories: aniline, semi-aniline and pigmented. In addition, this collection aims to combine all the advantages and benefits of kind leather in terms of innovation, sustainability, traceability and greater use of resources.
In order to serve the market with a complete range, the following products from the EVO line have been developed:
TITANO – made from carefully selected raw materials, it has a thickness of 10-12mm and its main characteristic is its round body and natural appearance. It also has an effect that gives depth and naturalness, a pleasant touch and a semi-
opaque shine. Ideal for objects looking to impress with movement and prominence.
URANO – with a thickness of 12-14mm, it has a semi-matte sheen and a solid color. Urano’s main characteristic is the uniformity of the leather grain and its natural silky touch. A leather with a high cutting performance, suitable for products with personality and robustness.
ATLANTE – the highest quality product and the best selection of leathers. Its main characteristics are a fine, delicate and uniform grain, a pleasant touch and a thickness of 09-11mm. It provides an elegant and natural covering.
CHRONO – is a Nappa-type leather and its main characteristics are uniformity, a silky touch and smooth grain. It has a thickness of 10-12mm and is therefore ideal for modern furniture with straight lines, giving it elegance and sophistication.
