The furniture industry is going through a phase of expansion, which means JBS Couros will focus its investments on developing new items and serving customers’ specific requirements. The collection also has all the productive attributes of kind leather in its DNA.
The new “Authentic – Deep Into Nature” collection is inspired by nature’s four elements (water, air, fire and earth) and employs lighter finishes that give the leather a greater level of sophistication to accompany the new designs; this also gives customers greater flexibility on where they can use the new products and better yields during furniture production.
One of the highlights in the new range is the special US Leather Made in Italy range, developed using US leathers tanned at the Cactus tanning unit, in Texas, and then shipped to the Conceria Priante in Italy, where they undergo finishing and the company’s exclusive designs are applied. “US leathers make beautiful items when they are finished. Conceria Priante also has over 60 years’ experience developing and manufacturing finished leathers, which means we have the technology to apply exclusive designs that combine US quality with the traditional values of the Italian leather industry”, said Max Lapegna, JBS Couros’ commercial manager.
The furniture industry is a major leather consumer and is constantly evolving. JBS Couros has therefore been investing in research and development to ensure it always has new products in the pipeline. “We believe in the essence of leather and wanted to bring leather’s unique, natural and atemporal style to consumers in the world’s biggest markets on a sustainable basis, delivering leather from certified sources while also adding value to our customers’ products”, said Lapegna.
In addition, JBS Couros maintains its commitment to social and environmental responsibility, ensuring that every stage of the Essntial production process is monitored and tracked using JBS360 Leather ID technology.
